[Well, now that he's gotten over his cold, Cynric is back to his usual self. And by "usual" I mean back to getting into everything he shouldn't be.

Residents of his home will find fuses all over the house getting blown out. This is because he came home from Taiwan's garage sale with a giant 1950s hand held hair dryer and is experimenting with drying various things around the house. Once the fuse is blown out in the kitchen, he moves to the dining room. After that, the living room, and so on. Eventually he'll toss it aside to be dismantled later, disappointed that the electricity of the future seems to be just as unreliable back in his time. Either that or this thing is defective and he'll just destroy fix it.

And isn't it a good thing phone lines aren't affected by power outages? Have a call, everyone.]


Money in this town is hard to come by! And this town still insists I'm a teenager, so they won't let me choose from very many jobs. I was told to get a paper route! How droll. What a laugh! Anyway, anyone have any jobs that need to be done?

Also! I do love how everyone calls on the telephone playing or talking about music all the time! It's so lovely! It makes me nostalgic from when I was still learning. We should all get together sometime! I'd love to hear more music from all these different times and places.

My "job" here is not nearly as lucrative as the one I left back home. And I was tax-exempt there, too.

I thought jobs in the future would be much more thrilling than paperboy. I must say I'm quite disappointed.

The jobs we had back home were... similar, in a way, but a world with fonons will require much more maintainence than a world without.

I commanded a division of the Oracle Knights. Technically a religious official, since the Knights were the strongarm of the Order of Lorelei.

That sounds important! I never did anything so important for work. Then again it's been a very long time since I had one. The boys always helped me out when I needed it! Alerius was always finding money somewhere or another. He was always the most clever.

I had something I needed to do, and that was the best way of going about it, in my opinion. Normally I wouldn't have touched the place, but there was nowhere else for me to go at that point.

Understandable. You had research to do, right? So hard doing magical research where I'm from! Nowadays, the guilds have all the books and the like. And they won't let me in.

Oh, we've tried! Sometimes we'd manage to, but the guilds have a lot of spellcasters in it so they have lots of defenses. They can be crafty!

No, just homunculi! They're better than humans. Do more interesting things, my kids. No spellcaster can make a human. Least as far as I know. But that's alright! Humans are pretty boring anyway.
