Creation 2

[A call is made to 1669 Nelson St. Cynric runs to answer the phone every time it rings - such a fascinating device! - and talks the ear of anyone who might be calling. But this time it's from the school, asking why he hasn't been attending. School? Ridiculous! He's way too old for school. But after some chatting he's convinced into going. Mayfield has placed him as a high school freshman.

Naturally, he loves it. There's all these people to talk to, and interesting things to learn. He's enthusiastic about everything. He has a hard time sitting still for a whole class, and has a tendency to wander off, but he goes in between asking thoughtful, intelligent questions to inquiring about the teacher's favorite color.

Mayfield High, a weird, curious little man has been let loose in your school. Maybe he's crashed the class you're teaching, or perhaps he's sitting next to you reading over your shoulder, or joining you at lunch without asking, or is completely failing to understand how dodgeball works. He wants to meet and talk with people and ask you a million questions. So, can Cynric interrupt your school day? Feel free to poke/bully/etc.!

[Just... blinks as this random dude sits down across from her at the lunch table.]

"Uh... hi."

[Gives a sort of tentative smile. Normally she's friendlier, but getting murdered will put a damper on even the nicest person's mood.]

[He holds up his tray to Kay. There's jello on it.]

Look at this! Gelatin, for dessert, at a school! This school must be awfully wealthy! Although the mold leaves a bit to be desired. [It's a rectangle. He pokes at it.]

I dunno, they have Jell-O for dessert here every day... it's nothing special, really.

[He blinks at her.] "Nothing special"? [He looks down at the jello, amazed. Gelatin in his time take a lot of work.] The future is amazing!

[identity profile] thief-of-truth.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
The future...? What year are you from?

[identity profile] dodo-master.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[He thinks a moment.] 1901! And this... 1950-something, yeah?

[identity profile] thief-of-truth.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, 1950-something. But wow... 1901. See, I'm from 2019, so this is pretty far in the past for me.

[identity profile] dodo-master.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoa. That's way ahead! What's it like?

[identity profile] thief-of-truth.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's normal to me, so I'm not really sure to describe how it's different... I guess technology's gotten a lot more impressive.

[identity profile] dodo-master.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll bet it is! Are there colonies on the moon or anything like that? Like in books!?

[identity profile] thief-of-truth.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, there's a space program and a few countries have sent astronauts to the moon, but nobody lives there yet. We're actually looking at terraforming Mars first, I think.

[identity profile] dodo-master.livejournal.com 2010-05-28 12:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Mars? Incredible! I hope someday I'll get to see it.

[identity profile] thief-of-truth.livejournal.com 2010-05-29 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah! It'd be pretty cool, don't you think? Living out in space like that.
