[Action A: Guess who is all up in your business today, Mayfield! Cynric hasn't gotten all of his magic back, just two spells so far. One allows him to speak to his creations, which is only his dodo Hephaestus at the moment. The other is a magic detection spell that lets him find sources of magic within about a 50 yard radius of himself. these were affects that he always had going and greatly missed. Now that he has the latter back, he's on a mission to find all the different kind of magic there is in town! Do you have a magical item or affect on you? Cynric will be following you, and he's hardly subtle. If he gets a ping from your house or garage, he'll be peeking in windows to see what he find. Whatever he might find, he's heading towards it.

Action B: Later, to any visitors at the bowling alley have to put up with him as an attendant. Except usually all he's doing is bowling too. He's terrible at it, but enjoys every minute of it. He's tickled when he manages to knock anything down, and like an excited child, will get the attention of someone nearby to show off.]

Oi! Did you see that? Got those two right on the end!

One at a time, more or less. It's quite an annoying system but I suppose it's better than having to rely on that post office.

I guess that's what they're doing with me then, too. And it's about time! I've been waiting quite awhile now for my spells back.

Yes! Just some magical detection, and the ability to talk to my creations; in this case that would only be Hephaestus, but I hope someday that will change.

That must be quite nice to regain, even if it's just a start. It's the strangest thing when you've only a few abilities at hand, is it not?

Indeed! Though these spells are the kind you don't miss until they're gone. I took them for granted, I suppose. But I feel a lot better, even with these simple ones returned to me. And poor Hephaestus doesn't have to be so confused any longer. Hard to explain to him why I couldn't speak to him for so long.

I've wondered how they get their hands on them, really. How they can take away and return so many intangible things. It shouldn't be possible.

It shouldn't be possible for them to hold so many powerful beings from different corners of the universe in one small area, either. Most of the things about this town defy logic.

I can only imagine what kind of magic that keeps this place together. The amount of power alone would have to be staggering!

Seems difficult to get answers out of those in charge in town. Answers would be nice, but I'm not sure where to start asking.
