[Whatever just happened, Cynric's not sure. He woke back up in the *better* town, and he's glad for that.
The other thing he knows is that people were very, very mad at him, as they often are. Being a social pariah was pretty much all he's ever known, and he's used to that. He supposed it was time for him to move again, but it seems like Mayfield still won't let him go.
There is, however, a very large delivery for Cynric in the morning. A 4-foot tall wooden crate, with a pair of scared eyes peering out through the slots. Cyn peeked in.] AH! Hephestus! You're here! Don't worry dear boy, I'll get you out!
[He runs off to the garage, and finds a hammer to pry open the crate. When he does, out jumps a large gray dodo bird! It's flapping wildly and... somehow looks happy? Cynric is thrilled too to see that Mayfield has brought to him one of his favorite creations and pets! But without his magic ability back, he can't speak with his feathery friend. No matter, he'll get it back soon enough and he'll be able to speak with him once again!
Cynric will be spending the rest of the day in the yard, trying to build a home for Heph. There's a pile of 2-by-4s and nails, and he's certainly building.... something, while the dodo happily pecks about the yard.]
Don't worry Hephestus, you'll like it here! Sometimes some odd things happen, and while I'd much rather be at home with the boys, there are certainly worse places to be!

Are you sure you're not just some form of psychic? I could believe that over "magic", since there's some possible scientific explanation for it.

Of course it's magic. You know, books, lots of studying, energy, using components and circles and the like! Especially creation magic, it's very difficult. Takes a lot of work!

I'm not sure where Heph is going to stay... my room is too full, and the garage wouldn't be very comfortable! I should build something for him.

[Well, Cyn's happy. Not everyone is mad at him apparently. He'll need the help too, as he really has no idea on how to build anything. Not that it's stopped him before.]
